What a nice peaceful weekend!

It was such a nice peaceful weekend. Mark and I were total bums!! The weekend started out pretty good for me. On Friday I went shopping. I really have not shopped in oh, I bet, 10 months! And I remember why...........I spent way to much money. But hey it has been a while. Mark was even impressed with all my bags. The goal was to shop for myself since I have lost most of my baby weight. I ended up with 2 shirts and a possible dress for the many weddings I have this summer. But who hit the jack pot was miss Madison!! I can't help but shop for her. I remember always telling my mom to buy something for herself and she would always say she didn't need anything........now I am doing the same! On Saturday we did nothing all day, but went out with my co workers to Fast Eddie's in Alton on saturday night. Home of the "Big Elwood"! It's basically steak and green peppers on a stick. It's really good cheap food! My friends Lindsey and Jason baby sat for Madison. I guess she gave them a good test run before they have their baby in May. She wouldn't go to sleep or take her bottle!! But she has been sick since Wednesday with a cough and runny nose. So she hasn't been sleeping or eating the best. But today she just had a runny nose and took her bottles better! She sure doesn't act sick! She really is a happy baby!

Here are some pictures from today. We did absolutely nothing again. It was really nice just being at home!! Madison fell asleep with her worm from cousin Natalie. She looks a little creepy with her eye slightly open! Just like Mommy!

We gave her a bath tonight and we used her frog towel for the first time and we thought it deserved a picture or two!

Happy 26th Birthday Mark!!

Mark's 26th birthday was today! His parents, brother, and sister in law all came to celebrate with us. I really think Steve and Vickie came to snuggle with their grand daughter......but I don't think Mark minded!!

Vickie took a picture of all of us together so I could put the picture on the blog. I guess I am always the one taking the pictures because I'm never in any!!.....or on the blog, which I don't really mind!! Mark and Madsion with his birthday cake!! You gotta love Shop N Save!! Of course I waited till the last minute to get one, or make one for that matter, so I called Shop N Save today and they had one made and ready within 4 hours!! They even put a picture on the cake!

Chiropractor?

Madison got her first adjustment today! Dr. Barry Delassus is the chiropractor I go to monthly for my adjustments and at my last visit he asked he how Madison was doing. I mentioned she had another ear infection. It was like a light bulb hit me and I had remembered reading about baby's getting adjusted to help and prevent ear infections! What perfect timing!! Madison got the full exam today and she has some tension on the left side of her neck and right side of her lower back. She was a very good patient and did every thing Dr. Barry asked her to do. The best part is, it is only $1 dollar to take her to get the adjustments! I know it's crazy!!! I think that beats the co pay at the doctor, the cost of the antibiotics and hopefully preventing tubes in her ears down the road! Thank you Dr. Barry!!

I really need to keep up with my posting!

Wow......so much to talk about! Since I haven't posted in over a week I have a lot of catching up to do. On Friday we all headed back to Newton for Shriner's! We won't miss it. We stayed at Grandma and Grandpa Keller's where we were greeted with lots of love and new toys. We think it takes a day for Madison to get use to her new surroundings because she was really fussy Friday night. Thank god she woke up in a better mood because we had the Spour cousins coming to visit. Mark and Cory (Mark's Cousin) went out and shoot some birds. I think it was cute when I asked if I could take a picture and Cory switch guns with Mark because it was the "better" gun!

Lauren, also Mark's cousin, enjoyed Madison. I think this picture is special because the first time I ever went to Mark's house, Lauren was just a baby and Deann, Mark's Aunt, took a picture of us holding her. We also think Madison has Lauren's ears!

Madison enjoyed using the same bouncy seat that Daddy used to sit in. All the Keller sibling used this bouncy. Man, how bouncies have changed! They have all the bells and whistles now!

Saturday night was big Shriner's night! We had a blast....but no pictures. I forgot my camera! Aunt Sarah and Uncle Brian baby sat Miss Madison. I think they did a great job because Madison didn't even wake up when we picked her up and she slept till 7 in the morning! They are going to be great parents!! I also regret not taking any pictures of Sarah with her ever growing belly! She looks like she is 30 weeks pregnant already! She looks great and has a glow about her!

Madison also had many visitors on Sunday. Great Grandpa and Grandma Keller and Great Aunt Debbie and Great Uncle Brian Reich, along with second cousins Heather and Travis Edwards and third cousin Logan Edwards. It was great seeing everyone!

Grandpa and Grandma Keller gave Madison on Sunday her first of many porch swing swings. Mark and I were packing to go home when they put her blanket into a "dew rag"......

then a "just got out of the shower" look!

I'm sure there are going to be many more "swings" to come!

Madison's baby sitter Ruth sent all the parents this picture today to wish all the parents Happy St. Patrick's day! Madison of course was the most festive!!

We ended the day with a nice stroller ride! It was wonderful out today!

And to top the whole day off.....Madison's doctor's office caught on fire today! I can't believe it! She has an appointment on Thursday to check her ear......I don't know what will happen!!

So much to catch up on!

So Madison had her 4 month check up on March 4th. She weighted 13 lbs. and was 25.25 inches long. Madison had to show off her battle wounds like Mallory from the dreaded shots! Mark being the great father that he is, surprised me at work with my little bundle of joy after her appointment and with the great news of an ear infection!!! I know, I can't believe it either. She showed no signs of an ear infection at all! Thank god for the pink bubble gum favored Amoxicillin. I think we should start some stock in Walgreen's the rate we are going!!

On Friday we made the trip to Newton with our "Diva" for some baby shower fun! We stayed at my mom and Gary's house. She learned how the pull herself up with her arms and how to fill her mouth with saliva and spit with Grandma Susan this weekend!
Lindsey's baby shower was on Saturday. I think my diaper cake turned out well. I rolled up little socks to look like a bouquet of flowers. Genius.....I know!
Madison got to check up with some old friends and some new ones at Allison's baby shower. On the left is baby Jarrett Pitch and the right is Jeremy Higginbotham.

I think my second diaper cake was a success as well! I think Allison really loved it.

• Allison in due in April..........I told Allison the next time I will see her, she will have baby Hasler! We are all so excited to meet him or her!

One year ago today....

I can't believe a year ago today we found out we were pregnant. I remember like it was yesterday. It was shortly after I returned from my lunch hour at work when I received a phone call from the doctor's office. When the lady said, "Congratulations Tiffany, your pregnant!" I was first shocked and then overwhelmed, thinking, oh my god, am I ready for this? After many negative at home and blood tests, I was not prepared for what she had just told me. Of course I was at work and in front of all my coworkers and boss bawling on the phone and feeling sick to my stomach when I blurted out I was pregnant. I wanted to call Mark at work, but wanted to see his face and reaction when I told him. I still wish I could have controlled my emotions so he would have been the first person I told, but I was a wreck! Of course it had to be a Monday night when I work till 8 pm. Needless to say it was a long day. I pondered on how I was going to tell him. I had a plan and kept replaying it in my head how I wanted to tell him, but on the way home I kept thing about it and tears would just well up in my eyes. I knew I would not be able to play it off so cool and collect. I think he knew when I walked into the house that something was was different. Of course, I just blurted out again that I was pregnant and all Mark could say was, this is awesome, this is awesome!! I can still hear it in my head and feel his strong hug. I look back at my pregnancy, which I really don't miss right now, and realize it wasn't that bad. At first the nausea stunk, the second trimester was full of worries. Was I going to be a good parent? Were we ready for this? What have I done? Is the baby going to be healthy? Is my body ever going to be the same? The third trimester I was just ready to have her. I felt like a huge swollen whale that could not even get out of bed!

I love her so much and could not have asked for a better baby girl and husband. I really do love my life and feel very blessed everyday. I wouldn't change a thing.

I love this picture.....It really was the first time I met the miracle I carried for nine months. She knew my voice right away. I remember wanting to look at her hair, fingers and toes. I still can't believe I had a baby with hair! Since I had to have an emergency c-section and could not wear my glasses, I really could not see her when Mark put her to my face. Then I had to recover in a room for two hours after that. I guess I waited nine months, I could wait two more hours! I will never forget it! She is my best achievement. I love you Madison.

Yum, Yum, Cereal!

We decided it would be a good idea to start Madison on cereal. I don't think she thought the same! I really don't even know if she swallowed any, she just kept spitting it back out. Here are pictures from last night... she looks like she had a big goober hanging out of her mouth!
