1, 2,..........3?

On September 21st we found out we were going to be a family of five!  Wow.....that sounds like a lot of people!  We got pregnant pretty quickly, so I was very surprised when the pregnancy test said positive.  Pumpkins have been very significant in Mark and ours lives, so I thought how perfect to tell him the good news than on a baby pumpkin.  Madison assisted with giving the pumpkin to Mark when he got home from work.  Mark was pretty excited to "see" the news, especially from Madison!
Madison is so excited to be a big sister again, Grant, just wants to play!

I got on the computer and figured out our due date is May 25th.  I have since then been to the doctor and had an ultra sound.  They confirmed the due date is May 31st.  I was a little ahead of the game I guess.

Oh, Grant just can't contain his excitement!!!
We can't wait to meet Baby Keller #3!!!

Fall apple picking!

On September 19th, Madison's preschool visited Mills Apple Farm in Marine.  Madison had a lot of fun picking apples and playing with her friends.  Grant on the other hand was quite the character that day.  He was in rare form throwing fits and running around like a crazy kid.  At least he settled down a little to "pick" apples.  He was more interested in throwing and eating the apples that were already on the ground!!  This boy is going to keep me on my toes!!

Another fun and stressful day with the kiddos!!

Fun times with friends.....and a little too much wine!

Ok, so I have some major catching up to do......like five months of catching up to do!  I always get super lazy when I am pregnant with stuff like this, so hear we go........

On September 15, 2012 that is, some of the old high school gang met up to check out some wineries in Missouri.  It was a much needed mini trip to catch up with some great old friends, and how better to do it with some tasty wine and great scenery.  Micah was our tour guide for the day.  She did a pretty good job considering she had never been to any of them herself.  The first winery was great and had wonderful food.  It was probably the "most classy" of all the wineries we went to. Good thing we started there, because as the day went on the rowdier we got!
This is all the wine we purchased at the third stop.  They had a really good deal, at least that is what we told ourselves!!  Don't worry, it wasn't all consumed that day!

Sweet Lindsey and I.
I think we are starting to look related?
Mischievous Micah and the hilarious Allison.
We busted out the stick on mustaches by the end of the night!  I think each one describes us perfectly!!  People had to have thought we were crazy.  We ended the night at Micah house all talking around her kitchen.  It seemed like high school all over again. It really was such a great day.  So glad I have friends that have stayed so close all these years!!  Can't wait to plan the next one.

The Hot Air Balloon Festival.

On September 14th we checked out the Hot Air Balloon Festival in St. Louis.  I have always wanted to go since we have lived here, but we have always had something else going on, we were either in Newton, or we just plan forgot about it.  This year we finally made it, and it was pretty awesome to see the balloons up close!
Here were some of the balloons with the sun shinning on them before it got dark.

Some of the balloons starting to be lit up.

Mark and the kids posed for some pictures before we found a spot to watch the big lighting show.

Daddy packed some snacks to have a picnic while we watched.  Grants enjoying his banana and rubbing his belly.  It must be good!
One happy boy to be out of the stroller and have some food!
At first Madison was a little scared of the loud noise the burner would let out.  But she got use to it and thought it was pretty neat the darker it got outside.  All the balloons would light up about every 20 minutes for a couple of seconds.
Pretty neat!!

We got a family picture!!!  Yah!!!
I think this one was our vote for the favorite balloon of the night.
Our view from the parking lot as we left.  It was a great night, the kids were good, and it was soooooo neat to see all the balloons up close!!

Grandma Wendy's 40th and G & G's 11th!

Grandma and Grandpa Kuhl came to visit us on September 1st, which was their 11th wedding anniversary!  We hadn't seen them much all summer so we were glad they came to spend their anniversary with us.  It was also Grandma Wendy's 40th birthday on August 21st!  So Madison helped me make a cake for Grandma.  Any time there is cake, Madison is close by!!!
Madison also loves to sing Happy Birthday!!
It's all business when it's time to blow out the candles!

And of course you have to lick the icing off the candles after!
We laid pretty low all weekend.  It was the first time it had rained in months so we all just sat around the kitchen table, talked and watched it rain on Saturday.  It was kinda weird to see it rain since it hadn't in such a long time.  After the rain, we headed out to eat pizza at a new place in town, but the wait was over an hour long.  We headed across the road to Bigelo's Bistro to try their pizza.  It was pretty good I must say!  It all worked out.  We woke up to nice weather on Sunday so we took advantage and played outside all morning.  Madison and Grant also had fun playing with Grandma and Grandpa in the basement.  I guess I only took pictures of the birthday cake celebration, but it was a great weekend!  Thanks for spending your anniversary with us Grandpa and Grandma Kuhl!!
