Guess which one is Maddie and which one is Grant!!

I even had to take a double take when the pictures popped up on the screen!! It's scary how much they do look alike when they are asleep, and of course dressed alike!!

1 month well visit

Grant had his 1 month well visit last week. To our surprise we have a big man on our hands. We are so use to our tiny peanut Madison. Grant weighed 12 pounds 11 ounces and was 24 inches long. The nurse asked me what I thought his weight was going to be, and I guessed 10 to 10.5 pounds. I was way off! I guess we really need to get a working scale in our house! I looked at Madison's baby book and she weighed 13 pounds and 25 inches at her 4 month check!! What a difference a boy makes!

Mark's work got this shirt for Grant. I'm glad I was looking through the closet and put it on because it is a 6 month onesie that fits just perfect right now! Bald is beautiful!!!

His hair is starting to come in nicely thou!!

Over the weekend Madison helped Grandma Susan decorate a cake and some cupcakes.
She thought she was big stuff!

Frosty Returns

Of course I waited till the warmest day of the year to post Frosty! I finally went out today to pick up the remains of Frosty and realized I hadn't posted pictures of Mark and Madison's hard work. Ever since the snowman from Christmas day melted, Madison has said at least once a day that she missed him. She would stare out the front door and look so sad. We kept telling her he would return, not thinking it would actually snow enough again to make one. But sure enough we got 11 inches of snow in early January. Mark waited till the snow had melted just enough for perfect packing, and warm enough for Madison to go outside.

Frosty looks pretty happy he returned.

I would have to say the final product turned out pretty good! Grant and I did help as well. We sharpied the peppermints for his eyes, smile, and buttons! Pa Pa Steve will be so proud!

Madison was pretty proud of Frosty! I think Mark was as well......and I would have to admit I was too!! I can't ever remember making a snowman that big! Mark said when he was a kid, they would make snowman and forts so big they would use the loader tractor!

I'm 4 weeks old today!

And yes, Grant has lost all of his hair on the top of his head. It all happened overnight!! It makes him look totally different!

Time is flying!!!

I decided since Grant is 4 weeks old today, I really, really, needed to update my blog! Time has just flown by since Grant arrived. Before I know it, it's 5 o'clock and Mark is already home from work. Some days I feel like all I do is feed, change poopy diapers, and then start all over again!! But I can't complain to much , because I am enjoying staying at home!

I guess I better start from the beginning..........

First Week Home

We are all getting to know Grant and what makes him happy.

Week Two
Getting big fast. And changing looks fast!! I think he is a good mix of the both of us.

Starting to have his eyes open more during the day, and night! He went through a spell of getting fussy around 10 o'clock every night. He still does every once in a while.

Grant had his first bath and surprisingly enough he loved it. It defiantly went better this time around then it did with Madison. I think Mark and I have learned a thing or two since then.

Grant had a little photo shoot on Mommy and Daddy's bed.

Week Three

Things are finally starting to get into a little bit of a routine. And our wave of visitors is over. Madison is doing great with Grant, better than we imagined! She wants to be around him all the time. She tries to be gentle, but she does test the water a lot. She calls him Granty boo-boo! Madison is a great big sister!

Madison wanted to read a book to Grant, but not take a picture of it! She's really starting to hate the camera. I think I have traumatized her with all my picture taking!

We finally let Madison hold Grant for the first time. She did really well. I think she really loves him. At least that is what she says anyway!

Week Four

Packing on the pounds. I think Grant is up to 10 pounds now and is getting stronger.

Tummy time for the first time. He does pretty well.

Grant was already trying to hold his head up in the hospital.

Enjoying his mat that Madison thinks is her new toy. This is the first thing she has said, "mine."

The new thing this week is Grant is starting to loose his hair on top. I swear he lost it overnight!! He looks like an old man!

What a month it has been!
