What a weekend!

This past weekend went so fast! It was Sarah and Patrick's Bachelor and Bachelorette parties. They are tying the knot in two weeks!! How exciting! Mark had Patrick's party here at our house.........I don't know what I was thinking when I approved of this, but everything went a.o.k. and nothing got broken!!! Mark and I took off Friday to get ready for the party and I'm sure glad we did!! I know we won't have gotten everything done if not. We finished the land scaping, mowed, planted flowers, finished up the deck and much much more!! Mark also made these awesome bag boards with Cardinal decals!! I will have to post a picture of them some time. I'm glad we got everything done so we can enjoy the up and coming weekends with Madison. I don't have any picts from Patricks party........guy's aren't good at those things!

On the other hand I did get some embarrassing pictures of Sarah at her party......but I won't post them for her sake!! Your welcome Sarah!! I did make her a cake made of penises!! I would have to say it turned out great! Who knew they made mini penis tins? Mark's sister Sarah assisted in the "decorating"!! We had to give them some personality!! ;)

Over the weekend Madison turned 7 months old!! It seems like she just "grew up" over night these past couple of weeks. Her personality just keeps coming out! She is rolling over like a champ now, sits up great and loves her baby food! She constantly has a smile on her face. I really think she's going to be a funny little girl!

We had Patrick, Sarah, Lindsey, Jason and Allie all over Sunday evening for super to eat the many left overs from the party. Madison enjoyed being our center piece!

Mark and I had the privilege to baby sit Allie last night! It was a lot of fun but weird hearing two very different crys in our house! She is a very good baby.

Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day weekend hit off with a bang when we attended Mark's cousin, Ryan McCall's wedding in St. Louis. It was a very nice and elegant ceremony and reception. Meredith's dress was beautiful! They look so happy!! They left for Hawaii today........I'm so jealous!

This picture needs some explaining........You know your life has changed when your husband is holding a bottle in hot water trying to get it the right temperature so your daughter will take it. I am double fisting it with Madison's pacifier on my finger and holding her diaper bag all at the same time. Everyone else had these cute hand bags and I had a stylish diaper bag!!!

Madison has learned how to drink from a glass and that is all she wanted to do is drink Aunt Sarah's water.

Grandpa and Grandma Keller got Madison out on the dance floor for a slow song to Elvis. I don't think Grandpa Keller can get enough of Madison!!!


Madison after a long night of partying! I think Mark and I felt the same. We both looked at each other on the way to the hotel and said the same thing, "I don't think I talked to anyone tonight, or if I did, I don't remember what we talked about." It sure is different going out with Madison now that she is older and more active!

The next exciting event of the weekend was going to the Express Care/ ER visit on Sunday. We noticed Madison kept pulling on her ears Saturday night and Sunday morning. So on the way back home we stopped in at Anderson Hospital. We thought we were crazy for going because we waited for two hours and thought maybe she had just "found" her ears! But oh no!! Double ear infection!! I guess it wasn't a wasted trip! She sure does look sick doesn't she!! Mark was a good sport posing for a picture after waiting so long for a prescription of the yummy pink bubblegum Amoxicillin! Another arm band for the scrap book!

Later that day my Mom and Gary came over for a visit after the Cardinal game. They brought her a sun hat from the game. She looked super cute in it!! We can't wait to wear it when we meet Fred Bird!

On Monday it rained and rained and rained here in Edwardsville!!!! The dish kept going out and since we couldn't play outside we put in some Baby Einstein movies for Madison. She loves them!! I bet she watched them for over an hour!!

I took this picture today.....Mark dumped the rain gauge twice yesterday and it rained again today!! All in all we got close to 11 inches of rain!! Our street looked like a river at one point!

Once again I am behind.......

If I have learned one thing these past couple of weekends, it is that my daughter's life is really interesting to a lot of people. Last weekend was my sister-in-laws baby shower. It was a wonderful day with wonderful weather. I heard from so many that they follow my blog weekly, some daily! I heard the same thing this past weekend at a family wedding we went to. (Post and pictures to come!) So I better get on it and post more often!!! So here we go........... As I said last weekend was Sarah's baby shower. The weekend started out with Madison's first bon-fire at her Uncle Brian's Birthday party.

Happy late Mother's Day!

I think everyone has caught on by now that I am late to every event and everything I do, (my poor, poor husband) so, Happy late Mother's day to all the mother's out there!

Here is a catch up of the past two weeks.......My dad's surgery went great but I think he had a painful recovery! He had a doctor appointment today and they said everything looks good. We hope he heals fast so he doesn't get stir crazy this summer! This is Madison and my Dad two days after surgery! (about two weeks ago) I hope Madison made him feel better!

That same day was my Aunt Pat and Uncle Bob Staser's 50th Wedding Anniversary party. Congrats on 50 years together!!!

This past weekend was my Grandpa and Grandma Tibb's 50th Wedding Anniversary. We wish we could have made it to their party, but we stayed in Edwardsville this weekend for Mark's brother Patrick's graduation from SIUE. Congrats to both!!!

And last but not least, Happy Mother's Day to me! I enjoyed my mother's day landscaping and cleaning my house! So many moms would say that is not a way to celebrate, but I bet a lot of mom's did the same thing! And I was happy to get it done! I don't think my house had been cleaned in a month and we are never home on the weekends to get anything accomplished! Mark helped me all day and I greatly appreciated it!

Madison got me a bouquet of flowers and a card. Mark really did write the sweetest message in the card! He always make me cry!

The best part of the whole day on Sunday was getting to take a nap with Maddie! I love taking naps with her and I love being her Mother!! She makes me so happy! Being a mother is better than I imagined it would be!

And she is starting to sit on her own now.......she's still a little wobbly!
