No April fools day here!! That is really a ring inside Madison's belly!!! She swallowed the ring yesterday when I was changing her diaper. I definitely did not get mom of the year this year!! I didn't even know she had it in her mouth. It all happened after lunch. I was changing her diaper before her nap, and she had just stolen a toy out of Grants hand. I was getting after her for not sharing when she started choking and gagging. I lifted her up, looked in her mouth, and sure enough she had one of my old rings I had gave her to play with in the back of her throat. I tried to get it out, but did not want to push it back farther. I have always heard that in all the CPR classes I had taken. I told her to cough it out and kept leaning her over. It all happened so fast and before I knew it she had swallowed it!! She did throw up after, but the ring did not come up with it! I called Mark freaking out and he came home as fast as he could. We called the doctor and she told us to go to the ER. So we spent the afternoon in Children's Hospital for about 3 hours. The doctor and nurses were very nice and understanding. Madison even listened to the doctors and followed their instructions. I was so impressed and proud of her!
The doctor let us take a picture of the x-ray. It looks so big in her little belly!! Poor girl! 
Children's Hospital was great. Madison thought she was hot stuff in her new "dress" and "bracelet". They even gave us extra gowns to play doctor with at home. She got juice, cookies, crayons, coloring books and a tiger. Needless to say, she didn't want to leave. She cried when she had to put her clothes back on! 
Mark said that cheapy old ring is going to be an expensive one now!! The doctor said she is fine and that it should pass within 5 days. If not, we would have to decide if we want to leave it in her belly or have surgery to get it out. We will wait to see if she passes it.......and Mark said we are keeping it to put in her scrapbook!! I told him he gets to clean it!
