I'm 4 weeks old today!

Just some pictures I took today since Grant is already 4 weeks old!

And yes, Grant has lost all of his hair on the top of his head. It all happened overnight!! It makes him look totally different!

Time is flying!!!

I decided since Grant is 4 weeks old today, I really, really, needed to update my blog! Time has just flown by since Grant arrived. Before I know it, it's 5 o'clock and Mark is already home from work. Some days I feel like all I do is feed, change poopy diapers, and then start all over again!! But I can't complain to much , because I am enjoying staying at home!

I guess I better start from the beginning..........

First Week Home

We are all getting to know Grant and what makes him happy.

Week Two
Getting big fast. And changing looks fast!! I think he is a good mix of the both of us.

Starting to have his eyes open more during the day, and night! He went through a spell of getting fussy around 10 o'clock every night. He still does every once in a while.

Grant had his first bath and surprisingly enough he loved it. It defiantly went better this time around then it did with Madison. I think Mark and I have learned a thing or two since then.

Grant had a little photo shoot on Mommy and Daddy's bed.

Week Three

Things are finally starting to get into a little bit of a routine. And our wave of visitors is over. Madison is doing great with Grant, better than we imagined! She wants to be around him all the time. She tries to be gentle, but she does test the water a lot. She calls him Granty boo-boo! Madison is a great big sister!

Madison wanted to read a book to Grant, but not take a picture of it! She's really starting to hate the camera. I think I have traumatized her with all my picture taking!

We finally let Madison hold Grant for the first time. She did really well. I think she really loves him. At least that is what she says anyway!

Week Four

Packing on the pounds. I think Grant is up to 10 pounds now and is getting stronger.

Tummy time for the first time. He does pretty well.

Grant was already trying to hold his head up in the hospital.

Enjoying his mat that Madison thinks is her new toy. This is the first thing she has said, "mine."

The new thing this week is Grant is starting to loose his hair on top. I swear he lost it overnight!! He looks like an old man!

What a month it has been!

It's a Boy!!

It's a boy!!

Mark, Madison, and I are proud to announce our newest addition,

Grant Steven Keller.

Grant was born January 7th, 2011 at 12:31 p.m. He weighed 8 lbs and 12 ozs. and was 19 inches long.

I started having contractions Friday morning at 3:30 a.m. I waited till 4:30 a.m. to wake up Mark due to our false alarm we had the Sunday before. By 5:30 a.m. I knew we would be going to the hospital. Mark got things ready, I took a shower of course, and we both waited for Madison to get up to go to daycare. By 6:30 a.m. I was having pretty hard contractions. Madison keep saying, "Mommy sad, Mommy crying." Then after the contractions she would say, "Mommy, happy again?" Poor girl! We took her to daycare at 7 and made it to the hospital by 7:10 a.m. or so. Thank god daycare is right next to the hospital!! When we arrived I was dilated to a 6 and ready for my epidural!!! Which didn't work by the way on my left side. I had to get another, but felt much better after that!! Started pushing at 11:15 a.m. and little Grant arrived at 12:31 p.m.!!! Mark just new it was a boy when his head came out. He said the features looked like a boy. I told him not to jinx it since that is what he said last time!! But sure enough Mark was right. He was a big, healthy boy!

It's been a long day!

Grant and Madison are adjusting well. Grant is a good eater. Sometimes to good. I feel like some days all I do is feed him. He is sleeping at night now, only getting up to eat of course every three to four hours. He really is a great baby so far. Madison has grown up so much in the past week. She just seems bigger and more like a little girl. She is a good helper and wants to give Grant kisses all the time. As for me, I am staying home now with Madison and Grant. It has been a great experience so far and will probably be one of the best decisions I have made. Mark has decided to go back to school to get his surveying degree at this busy time in our life as well!! I know, he is crazy! But I am staying at home and it's only going to take a year and a half. As for Mark and I, we are still adjusting to being a family of four. We both looked at each other the second night in the hospital and said, "we have two kids". It's just weird to think how far we have come. Our family is complete!!! What more could we ask for?

Life is good!!
