Ladybug Girl

On May 8th, Madison and I went to the Edwardsville Library to meet Ladybug Girl!!!  "LadyBug Girl" is a set of books wrote by Jacky Davis and David Soman, and are about a little girl dressing up as a ladybug of course, and feeling like she can do anything with her "super powers" as Ladybug Girl.  Madison just happened to pick out one of  these books at the library one day after story time at the Glen Carbon Library and loved it.  A couple of weeks later when we went to return the book, a worker at the library showed Madison where the rest of the collection was located.  Ever since then we have gotten a LadyBug Girl book every two weeks.  I think we both have them all memorized by now!!!  When I saw Edwardsville Library was having a story hour about Ladybug Girl, and that she was actually going to be there, I had to sign Madison up!!!

The first thing Madison got to do was make Ladybug Girl antennas.  She loved showing them off as you can tell, and notice the pose!  I thought maybe I have been watching to much E! News, but I asked her where she saw that pose and she told me, "Juliet stands like this".  It took me a minute to think who was Juliet?  Then it hit me, the movie "Gnomeo and Juliet".  It is one of Madison and Grant's favorites!  Thankfully it wasn't E! news!!!  But she sure does mimic a lot these days!!

Next all the kids listened to Miss Ann read one of the Ladybug Girl books and have a yummy snack.

Then finally after all of the anticipation, Madison got to meet the real Ladybug Girl!!!!  I think she was in awe, and wasn't scared at all.  I was shocked!!  She told me after she was scared of "Bingo", the dog, not Ladybug Girl.

Just some pictures of Grant I thought I would share.  I recently got our walker out for our nephew Michael to borrow, and Grant thought he could still "walk" in it!  Well, at least try any way!

I didn't do it!

Grant has been very cooperative when I cut his hair, thanks to the movies Rio and Gnomeo and Juliet!

He looks like a big boy!!

Never knew I would be a beauticain some day for my whole family!!

And yes, I am cutting his hair in the living room!!!  I'm insane I know, but I do put a blanket down.  I can't wait for our kitchen to be done!!!

Easter 2012

Once again, Easter 2012 was full of fun and rushing to the next get together.  And yes, I am very behind on my blogging.  The Keller family has had a lot going on in the past month.  We are finishing up our remodeling with the house, Mark is just about done with school, and has gotten a new job!!  Well sorta!  But more about that later.......

But she would cooperate for Grandpa and Grandma Kuhl!!  They kindly let us stay with them over the Easter weekend.  Look at that smile!

Grandpa and Grandma Keller got two new rabbits for Easter.  A white bunny named "Snow White", or as Madison would say, "Smow White"!!  And a brown bunny named "Eugene", after the prince on the Disney movie Tangled.  The girls loved them!  Thanks G and G Keller!!

The kids also hunted eggs at Grandpa and Grandma Kuhl's home.

Madison did most of the hunting, but gave a lot to Grant.  She really is a caring big sister.

My dad got down my old tricycle from the attic so the kids could play and ride on it.  It still has some miles left on it!!

I found this old picture of myself on the same bike.  Santa must have gotten it for me!  Not sure Madison looks like me.....I think she is all Keller!!  But Grant on the other hand.......just put a long blonde wig on him, and he looks exactly like his momma!!!

Grant thought Madison needed some help.

Grant had to try out the bike as well.  He just seems older then he really is!!

  The Easter Bunny really found us at Grandpa and Grandma Lindley's house!  I swear these kids are spoiled!!!  We are still eating the candy from Easter!

Checking out all her candy.  By the time we got to our third egg hunt, she knew what was up.  She would shake the eggs to see if it had money in it, if it didn't jingle, she would throw it back down.  We told her that's not how it works!!  Smart little stinker!

I think it finally took the bigger kids to bust it open.  Didn't get far with Maddie's guns!!

And of course Grant loves to play with balls and the big boys!!!  "Ball" is basically the only word he says, besides mom and dad!
