2 Christmases down, only 5 more to go!!

This past weekend we had two Christmases to attend. First stop was to my Dad and Wendy's home. We got some great gifts and had a wonderful visit and stay!

Mark and I got a new camera for Christmas. We tested it out over the weekend

and I LOVE it!!!!

Grandma and Madison reading some books. Can you tell her new thing is crawling up in your lap and bringing a book with her to read. I have never seen a kid like books as much as she does.

Grandma and Grandpa Kuhl got Madison a, well...... I don't know what it is technically called, but I call it one of those toys you see in a doctor's office!! She was a little excited!

On Sunday we headed to Mark's Mom and Dad's for the Ritz side.

Again good company and good times!!

And last but not least, Madison got a early gift from Grandma Lindley in the mail a couple of days ago. She has learned how to make it go herself. Hint, her finger on the button on the stirring wheel!! Our house is so small we can only make a small circle from the living room to the kitchen. Until it gets a little warmer to head outside it will have to do.

Greatly missed, but never forgotten....

My Grandma Lindley passed away today 12-11-2009. She has had ill health for quit some time now. I did not get to see her before she passed, but did write her a letter for my mom to give her...........

Grandma Lindley-

Sorry I am not here to read this letter to you. I just wanted you to know that I feel grateful to have had you in my life. I remember the very first time Josh and I came to meet you, you gave us the biggest hug. I have never seen or felt that much affection from a Grandmother before. You excepted us from the very beginning. I will also never forget the Easter scavenger hunts. I looked forward to them every year. You know they were a good time when Mark would even look forward to them. I hope to someday do that for my own children. You are also the most organized woman I know. Some people might think this is dumb to recognize but as a mother myself now, I appreciate all the dates on the back of the pictures, the calendars and dates and name on possessions you have given me. I will always know who they came from and the history behind it. I also enjoy the hand written notes. By the way who does those any more? I guess it is kinda tacky I am emailing this one, right? Any way....most of all thank you for being such a GREAT mother to my mother. I know she really looks up to you and she feels like you are her own mother as do I my grandmother. You have always treated us as one of your own. I really do feel blessed to have had you in my life. You have taught me many things I have now come to realize. You will be greatly be missed and always in my heart.

Mark hard work on the New I-64 project.

On Sunday we took a family trip to see all the hard work Mark has put into the past two years on the I-64 project. I will admit it was pretty cool getting to walk on the interstate! Of course Mark was talking all engineer and using the real terminology. But he did dumb it down for me a little bit. I really don't remember the "terms" to explain anything to you, but still pretty neat!!
