Once again I am behind.......

If I have learned one thing these past couple of weekends, it is that my daughter's life is really interesting to a lot of people. Last weekend was my sister-in-laws baby shower. It was a wonderful day with wonderful weather. I heard from so many that they follow my blog weekly, some daily! I heard the same thing this past weekend at a family wedding we went to. (Post and pictures to come!) So I better get on it and post more often!!! So here we go........... As I said last weekend was Sarah's baby shower. The weekend started out with Madison's first bon-fire at her Uncle Brian's Birthday party.

Sunday was the shower. Here is Sarah's diaper cake that was super cute! Mark's Aunt Deb painted some giraffes on the front door that were adorable and I regret not getting a picture!

Happy late Mother's Day!

I think everyone has caught on by now that I am late to every event and everything I do, (my poor, poor husband) so, Happy late Mother's day to all the mother's out there!

Here is a catch up of the past two weeks.......My dad's surgery went great but I think he had a painful recovery! He had a doctor appointment today and they said everything looks good. We hope he heals fast so he doesn't get stir crazy this summer! This is Madison and my Dad two days after surgery! (about two weeks ago) I hope Madison made him feel better!

That same day was my Aunt Pat and Uncle Bob Staser's 50th Wedding Anniversary party. Congrats on 50 years together!!!

This past weekend was my Grandpa and Grandma Tibb's 50th Wedding Anniversary. We wish we could have made it to their party, but we stayed in Edwardsville this weekend for Mark's brother Patrick's graduation from SIUE. Congrats to both!!!

And last but not least, Happy Mother's Day to me! I enjoyed my mother's day landscaping and cleaning my house! So many moms would say that is not a way to celebrate, but I bet a lot of mom's did the same thing! And I was happy to get it done! I don't think my house had been cleaned in a month and we are never home on the weekends to get anything accomplished! Mark helped me all day and I greatly appreciated it!

Madison got me a bouquet of flowers and a card. Mark really did write the sweetest message in the card! He always make me cry!

The best part of the whole day on Sunday was getting to take a nap with Maddie! I love taking naps with her and I love being her Mother!! She makes me so happy! Being a mother is better than I imagined it would be!

And she is starting to sit on her own now.......she's still a little wobbly!

I can't believe she's 6 months!

We can't believe our little girl is already a half a year old. Man does time fly!! She had her six month well visit yesterday. She weighs 14 lbs. 4 oz. and is 25 .5 inches tall. She hasn't grown much from last month but her thighs sure are chunky!! And no ear infections!!! Madison also did well with her shots....the last one was the hardest. That polio vaccine sure does sting.....or that's what the nurse says anyway! I have to admit, I had to sit down this time when I saw the needles! I think it was because when the nurses came in one said, this is so and so and she is learning to give shots, do you mind if she gives your daughter her shots........what are you supposed to say to that? So I said sure........ Every thing went a.o.k.!

Some six month achievements for Miss Madison are.......rolling over from front to back, back to front, with a little help, almost sitting on her own, sucking on toes a lot, clapping feet together with both hands, grabbing objects with both hands, blowing bubbles with spit every where, getting a new tooth and starting baby food as you can see. We started her on peas and she seems to like them!

She still loves her paci! I guess that's dessert!

The doctor said we also need to start giving her a sippy cup with her "meals". Juice or water to make 4 oz. a day. She looks like such a big girl with the sippy cup!
